Our Story

OTSafeTrade.com was born out of chaos. Magnus, the founder of OTSafeTrade.com, experienced firsthand the frustration and insecurity of buying a character for an OT server. Transactions often happened in scattered Facebook groups and WhatsApp chats, with admins struggling to maintain updated lists of scammers. Yet, despite their best efforts, reports of scams surfaced almost daily. Browsing through endless posts only to find the perfect character - already sold - was not just a hassle but a deterrent for many potential traders.

Determined to create a better solution, Magnus envisioned a platform where buyers and sellers could connect securely and efficiently. Creating rules and boundaries for safety and trust, OTSafeTrade.com was designed to ease with trading characters.

What Makes OTSafeTrade.com Unique?

Unlike traditional sites of classified ads, OTSafeTrade.com conducts a KYC of sellers, where the seller is obliged to upload personal ID to verify their identity. Thanks to the KYC, there is only anonymity between users, but OTSafeTrade.com knows the sellers' identity. Taking inspiration from Facebook groups, where people ask for "rep", OTSafeTrade.com is built on a self-reporting mechanism where users report positive or negative feedback after a trade.

How It Works

OTSafeTrade.com is designed to make trading characters secure and hassle-free. Here's how our process works:

  1. Buyers Browse Listings: Buyers explore our platform for available characters, with detailed listings that include level, vocation, price, and other relevant details. Once you have found a character you contact the seller to agree upon payment.
  2. Sellers List Characters: Sellers can easily list their characters by providing accurate details, including skills, images, and additional notes. Sellers set the price, and their characters are made visible to potential buyers.
  3. Obligations for Both Parties: After the transaction begins:
    • Sellers: Sellers must deliver the full credentials of the character (e.g., account name, password) via our secure platform within 15 minutes of the payment from the Buyer. Failure to do so will result in penalties and a potential ban from OTSafeTrade.com.
    • Buyers: Buyers are responsible for reviewing and confirming receipt of the character within 24-hour timeframe. If no dispute is received, OTSafeTrade.com deems the sale of the character to be correct.
  4. Secure Credential Delivery: All credentials are exchanged exclusively through OTSafeTrade.com to maintain confidentiality and ensure security. Buyers and sellers never need to share sensitive information directly. All sensitive information is stored encrypted in case of security breach.
  5. Completion: Once the buyer confirms the transfer (or after 24 hours), the transaction is marked as complete.

Our platform's unique trade system and clearly defined obligations create a safe and transparent environment for OT character trading. By adhering to these rules, OTSafeTrade.com provides peace of mind for all users.

We do not handle any payments. Payments are always made directly between buyers and sellers. This is to avoid unnecessary costs as we do not want to be a middleman.
